The Crazy In Love hitmaker will go head to head with Dreamgirls co-star Jennifer Hudson twice - they are both competing for Female R&B Artist of the Year and Best Actress honours, while Beyonce is also nominated for a Viewers' Choice award.

Jay-Z's wife has earned a double nod in the Video of the Year category for her hits If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), for which she'll go up against Kanye West (Heartless), Jamie Foxx (Blame It, featuring T-Pain) and T.I. (Live Your Life, featuring Rihanna).

Prison-bound rapper T.I. scooped two nominations for Best Collaboration - Live Your Life and Ain't I, his track with Yung Dro and Young LA, in addition to the Viewers' Choice prize and Best Male Hip-Hop Artist.

He'll face stiff competition for the latter award - West, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy and Rick Ross are all in with a chance of taking home the top honour.

Meanwhile, Ne-Yo is fighting T-Pain, Ryan Leslie, The-Dream and Foxx for Best Male R&B Artist, and Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson and Jazmine Sullivan join Beyonce in the Female R&B Artist category.

Hollywood star Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and Obsessed's Idris Elba are nominated for Best Actor alongside rapper-turned-actors Common and Jamal 'Gravy' Woolard, who portrayed the late, great Notorious B.I.G. in the Notorious biopic.

Singer/actor Foxx will take on hosting duties for this year's ceremony, which takes place in Los Angeles on 28 June.

However, T.I. will not be present at the event to see if he's crowned a winner - the multiple nominee is due to report to prison on 19 May to serve time for a 2007 arrest for illegal weapons possession.
