Beyonce

After the nominees went live on the MTV website this morning, FemaleFirst couldn’t resist having a sneaky peek at what they had to say about the lucky handful, and then of course, picking our own winners… see if you agree

The Nominees

Beyonce - Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) - Directed by Jake Nava

Take a catchy hook with a female empowerment theme, add Beyoncé in a butt-hugging leotard, then toss in some intricate choreography and you have a strong VOTY contender.

Britney Spears - Womanizer - Directed by Joseph Kahn

Will numerous disguises and baring it all in this sexy revenge video be enough for Britney to take top prize for the second year in a row?

Eminem - We Made You - Directed by Joseph Kahn

Shady's back and he's up to his old tricks. Eminem roasts celeb culture in his first solo music video since 2005. And no one is off limits!

Kanye West - Love Lockdown - Directed by Simon Henwood

The clean and modern look of Kanye’s "Love Lockdown" was inspired by the film American Psycho. And the warriors and giant women wearing body paint? That's all Kanye.
Lady Gaga - Poker Face - Directed by Ray Kay

We’d bet our aces that Lady Gaga knew playing strip poker would raise the heat index of her already scintillating music video. You win, Miss Gaga!

And FF’s winner is…

Lady Gaga - Poker Face

Okay, so even though we don’t get this video, it’s hardly been off MTV since it’s release, and my gym seems to love it, having it on repeat every 30 minutes! Personally, when I see Lady Gaga’s body in that video, it makes me work extra hard on the cross trainer… and for that alone, I give her the moonman!
