Pulp

Pulp

Pulp are rounding off the weekend at Leeds, and letting The Strokes take the headline slot on the Saturday at Reading.

It's a fair way to book the co-headliners, but it seems likely that Pulp's festival-closing set up North will be their better performance of the weekend.

Having a nostalgic act as a festival headliner can go one of two ways, but tracks like 'Common People' should help make this set a great singalong moment.

Pulp are also a great fit for the festival, and will have no problems rising to the occasion.

As a warm-up for The Strokes at Reading, Pulp will have to be careful not to overshadow the headliners.

In fairness to The Strokes, they can more than hold their own, and have enough name value to come close to matching the atmosphere Pulp will get.

It's just important that Pulp match each set to the occasion.

At Leeds, they will be expected to provide a very special moment to end the festival in style.

The night before, at Reading, they will still have to bring it, but be prepared for The Strokes to be the main band on the night.
