Wretch 32

Wretch 32

We're into our second month of the Weekend Playlist, and we've got a nice treat for everyone.

From now on, we'll have occasional Guest Playlists from an artist, ranging from their favourite songs, songs that inspired them or something a bit different.

This week, we've got chart-topping rapper Wretch 32, who recently hit Number 1 for his collaboration 'Don't Go', featuring Josh Kumra.

To celebrate this, Wretch has given us his favourite rap collaborations, and a few words on each one.

Like all our playlists, you can listen to Wretch 32's Rap Collaborations right here.

Disclaimer: Some of these songs do contain language and lyrics that may offend some readers/listeners.

1. Run This Town - Jay-Z, Kanye West & Rihanna

Wretch 32 says: "[This is] a powerful song from three mega stars running it in their own music genre."

2. Regulate - Warren G & Nate Dogg

Wretch 32 says: "This is just a classic timeless song from legends in the game. R.I.P to Nate Dogg."

3. Wonderman - Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Golding

Wretch 32 says: An unexpected collaboration with Tinie thinking out of the box to draft in Ellie Golding on this."

4. Forever - Drake, Kanye West, Jay Z & Eminem

Wretch 32 says: "This song has all the best U.S. rappers on one tune, trying to murder each other lyrically."

5. Been Around The World - Puff Daddy & Mase

Wretch 32 says: "This was one of my favourite songs growing up. It didn’t have much relevance to me at the time as I hadn't been out of London, let alone around the world, but still, I enjoyed it.

6. Renegade - Jay-Z Feat Eminem

Wretch 32 says: "A lot of people say Eminem murdered Jay-Z on this track, but I beg to differ."

7. One More Chance: The Notorious B.I.G. Feat Mary J Blige, Faith Evans and Total

Wretch 32 says: "This flashes back memories of my childhood when my sisters will pump this tune so loud my neighbour would complain."

8. Every Girl - Chipmunk Feat Movado

Wretch 32 says: "A club banger, Chippy again pushing the boundary getting the gulley god on the chorus bringing the Jamaica bashment culture.

9. Successful - Drake Feat Trey Songs

Wretch 32 says: "The song is about every person's struggle but simplified"

That does us for a brief but special edition of the Weekend Playlist. We'll be back next week with our own topic, but what did you think this week? Did Wretch 32 miss out your favourite collaborations? What ideas do you have for future topics? Let us know in the comment section, and have a good weekend.
