Today is Adam Lambert's 32nd birthday, and what better way to celebrate than to look back at 10 of our favourite moments throughout his career to-date?

When he joined Glee and performed 'Marry The Night'

'Starchild' is everything we wanted from Adam's character. Over the top, outrageous and an absolute megastar when he's on the mic.

When he performed with Queen at iHeart Radio Music Festival

He doesn't want to be Freddie Mercury nor does he want to replace him - he simply brings something new to Queen and has been hailed a true talent by the members of the band who want to continue to work with him for the foreseeable future.

When he sang 'Mad World' on American Idol

Probably one of his defining moments - American Idol was running over schedule and so Simon Cowell was the only person to speak after Adam's stunning 'Mad World' rendition - he simply got out of his chair and said the rising star deserved a standing ovation.

When he released sophomore album 'Trespassing'

Sophomore albums can either make or break an artist, and so listening through this collection was nerve-wracking for many. One of the albums of 2012 without a doubt, Adam managed to prove he has the ability to blend a multitude of genres and sound brilliant as he wailed through all of them. It was a tragedy that it didn't sell more copies.

When he performed and appeared in Pretty Little Liars

Announcing that he'd be appearing on the show, fans expected a brief 30 seconds, but his role was actually more prominent and he had the chance to really sink his teeth into the sassy cameo.

When he collaborated with Avicii on 'True'

As we all wait in anticipation for news of new Adam music, this was a much-needed boost that he has been in the studio working, and a fantastic track that would match or even beat the success that Avicii has already seen so far.

When he received an award from the Annual GLAAD Media Awards

He's constantly pushing the boundaries with his performances and speaks out for equal rights whenever he has the opportunity, and so this award was a great chance to see him rewarded for his efforts.

When he dressed like a genie for Halloween

...No further explanation needed.

When he returned to American Idol and sang 'Titanium' with Angie Miller

Making his return in 2013 as one of the most successful artists ever to come off the show, Adam Lambert sang with third place Angie Miller, blending their voices perfectly for a cover of Sia's 'Titanium'.

When he covered Jessie Ware track 'Wildest Moments'

His vocals are absolutely stunning here and gave us all a little teaser of hopefully wat we can expect in coming months - it's been far too long without Adam's voices hitting our ears and so this was truly a magical moment.

Wish Adam a happy birthday on Twitter @AdamLambert and let us know what your favourite moments in his career have been below!
