Fashion - it's a passion for most women and often leads many of us to splash out a few more pennies than we can truly afford; all because we've 'just gotta have it'. For me, fashion is a whole lot more than that. …..

Giulia

My mother, Flavia Persone, was an avid fashion entepreneur who had an eye for the 'gorgeous'. To her, fabrics and designs were true art forms, which could be crafted into incredible clothing designs which made women truly stunning. Growing up with such an inspirational mother opened my eyes to the beauty of the fashion industry, I guess fashion is truly in my blood.

When my mother sadly and suddenly passed away last year at a very young age, I knew that I simply had to champion her life-long passion for fashion. For a while prior to her passing, my mother had fervently mentored and supported a young fashion designer named, Anna Sammorone: www.annasammorone.it. Anyone who's seen Anna's incredible designs would understand what my mother was so passionate about, and I knew I needed to step-in and carry on the support when my mum passed away.

So, now I live a life betwixed between two awesome experiences - music and fashion. The music I create from my soul and perform from my heart, whilst the fashion partners with Anna's talented spirit to enable her to create fashion that's the envy of the world.

Anna Sammarone was born in the South of Italy, in a small town in the Molise region. She grew up within a classical easy going bourgeois life with a wonderful, solid and reassuring family, until the small town could no longer contain her explosive talent for fashion and she moved to the cultural city of Tuscany to study her craft at University. It's here that the dreams and vision within her finally materialized into beautiful physical creations of fashion.

Anna understands the preciousness of fabric, its purity, colour and design and she crafts creations of outstanding beauty with the tradition of artfully sewn garments. Garments which are timeless and are never 'in' fashion have a refined simplicity. This is the trademark of the Sammorone design - simple, timeless and never searching for their place on the catwalk.

It's this quality which appealed most to my mother and I. We felt that pure, honest talent such as this, talent which comes from the soul, needs to be supported and nurtured. So now I give Anna as much of my time and input as possible. From sourcing irresistible fabrics, searching the world for design inspiration or simply giving an opinion - whatever I can give I offer happily in support of the beauty that Anna Sammorone creates.

The envy of Europe, Anna Sammorone designs haven't yet been discovered by the UK market, although the pages of Elle, Glamour and Cosmo yell Anna's praises so loudly that it won't be long before the UK catches on. In the meantime, I search for ways of fusing my music and fashion worlds together as one. Beauty such as these two wonderful arts bring must be fused together - watch this space!
