US born and London-based singer/songwriter Laura Comfort is going from strength to strength in her career, with an exciting single release debuting today exclusively on Female First.

For those who haven't yet heard your music, how best would you describe yourself as an artist?
My style is rock pop or acoustic pop, with elements of rock and country.
How difficult would you say it is to make a name for yourself in this industry?
To make it takes hard work. You also need talent, passion, conviction, perseverance and luck.
As a female, how would you say women are today treated in the music business?
I'm not sure how it is to be a male, but artists seem to be treated with equal respect.
You're premiering new single 'Little Wing' here on Female First - can you tell us what it is about this track that you love so much?
I've always loved 'Little Wing'. It's a very soulful, melodic song about a mystical female 'Angel', which I identify with.
Have you always been a big fan of Jimi Hendrix?
I've always been a fan of Hendrix. He's a complex person, gifted guitarist and amazing songwriter. A true legend.
Will you be making a music video for the song? If so, what ideas have you got for that?
For the music video, I wanted to do something completely simple and unscripted so not to distract from the beauty of the song.
How does the music landscape differ in the US compared to the UK?
I've lived in the UK for most of my career and am just starting in the US, so will have to let you know!
You supported Steven Tyler on tour - what was that experience like?
Steven Tyler's such an icon, selling over 150 million records, so it was such a privilege to be asked to open for him. It's been an amazing experience.
Finally what do you have coming up in the coming weeks and months?
Now I'll be focusing on promoting my new single, doing radio interviews and planning UK and US tour dates!
