Taylor Swift is one of if not the most powerful force in the female pop industry today, and under her belt she's got a collection of great singles, some which have done well, some which have done extremely well and some which have topped the charts.

Which of Taylor's hits are your favourite?

We've taken a look at the seven smash hit singles (that peaked on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 5 or above) and ranked them from least favourite to most-loved.

7) 'Love Story'

Acting as the track which shot Swift into stardom worldwide, this is potentially her most-famous hit to-date but one that has arguably aged through time. Written by the lady herself and released all the way back in 2008 it instantly proved her talent whilst telling the story of a past love interest who didn't prove popular with Swift's parents.

6) 'Today Was A Fairytale'

Unfortunately never receiving an official music video, this tune was one that Swift penned in the summer of 2008, storing it away for a while before being cast as Felicia Miller in Valentine's Day and offering it to the film producers for the soundtrack of the movie. Describing a magical date, it's similar to other material we've heard from Taylor, going on to including princess imagery and the like.

5) 'You Belong With Me'

The inspiration behind this country pop ballad came from a conversation she overheard a male friend and his girlfriend having over the phone. Acting defensive as his partner shouted at him, Swift felt sympathetic towards the guy in the situation and went on to develop the concept for the song, with the opening line reading: "You're on the phone with your girlfriend / she's upset / she's going off about something that you said".

4) 'Blank Space'

This song is the one that saw Swift make US Billboard Hot 100 history, seeing her become the first woman in the chart's history to succeed herself (with 'Shake It Off') at the top spot. Taylor performed the song at the 2014 American Music Awards for the first time in New York City as part of a big project - Taylor Swift's 1989 Secret Session with iHeartRadio.

3) 'I Knew You Were Trouble'

Experimenting slightly with dubstep, Taylor explained to MTV News that a story was told through the song of a good girl falling for the bad boy, with a "toxic relationship" resulting in a break-up. She noted it was something different to what she had written about in the past and wanted boundaries to be pushed through the "sound of this record".

2) 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'

As her first ever number one single on the Billboard Hot 100, the track became an instant commercial success and hit all the headlines with tabloids, fans and haters all discussing just who the lyrics could be aimed at, after a string of high-profile relationships. Swift's music video for the song was the first ever to be presented in 4K resolution, and the IFPI say that to-date the single has sold more than 6.2 million units.

1) 'Shake It Off'

As Taylor's second number one, 'Shake It Off' proved to be the first taste of what to expect from her latest album '1989'. Written alongside Max Martin and Shellback, it's an uptempo tune that managed to win this year's Favourite Song at the People's Choice Awards, as well as being up for prizes at the Grammy Awards in the Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance categories.
