Salt n Pepa take to TV
Groundbreaking rap trio Salt n Pepa with DJ Spinderella broke onto the music scene back in 1986 and have sold in excess of 10 million records worldwide. Now the group are trying to mend bridges and reunite on a new VH1 reality show which is expected to air in 2008.It has been described by producers as 'funny and touching' and will have viewers desperate to know if the group can get it together on stage like they once did.
50 Cent joins the big boys
Rapper 50 Cent is to star alongside the silver screens favored actors, Robert de Niro and Al Pacino in the new movie Righteous Kill. The rapper who will play a drug dealer in the movie written by Russell Gewirtzm has recently just rapped up another movie, New Orleans with De Niro where the two play cops.50 Cent had his first taste of acting in the 2005 movie Get Rich or Die Trying which was based around the rappers life story.
Diddy's bodygaurd sentenced to two years in prison
Robert A. Morillo, a body guard for HIp-Hop mogul Sean Combs was sentenced to two years in prison for identity theft this week.

The Puerto Rican born Morillo had assumed the identity of another man ten years ago and has since been working with members of the Saudi Arabian royal family as well as other celebrities and diplomats.

He was sentenced after being captured in his home country back in 2006 after fleeing from the United States.

New album from Lauryn Hill
It is possible that the Fugees front lady is back in the studio preparing a new album. 2008 will be the tenth anniversary of the singer/rapper/ song writers solo debut The Mis-education of Lauryn Hill. The record deemed a classic has never been matched by a female MC since and as Miss Hill is now reported to have aligned herself with new management, her fans and the music industry look forward to her sophomore project.

She has been performing throughout the world over the last few months with a performance in Sao Paulo. Brazil last week that was described as 'unbelievable.'

There has also been reports of a new Fugee album which has yet to be confirmed. Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean and Pras broke onto the music scene in 1996 with their classic rendition of Roberta Flacks Killing me Softly.
