Game being Sued for $1.5 million

West Coast rapper The Game may have to cough up over $1.5 million in damages after assaulting a basketball coach during a game back in early 2007.

The rapper has already served eight days in prison stemming from this incident as he pleaded no contest to possession of a fire arm in a school zone. But now the coach. Shannon Rodrick who the rapper threatened with the gun after punching him in the face is looking for damages after the rapper failed to respond to civil court allegations.

To avoid the excessive payout demanding by Rodrick and his legal team, Game must attend court on April 22nd.

Sha Money XL Announces 3rd One Stop Shop

Former G Unit President, Sha Money XL announced last week the line up for his third annual producer conference, The One Stop Shop.

Sha relied on the voices of those who frequent his website to choose the line up this year, which in the past has featured DJ Premier, Swizz Beats, Don Cannon, Mr. Porter and many more, for the conference to be held in Phoenix Arizona.

The panels this year include Pete Rock, Jim Jonsin, Just Blaze, DJ Khalil, Drumma Boy, Polow Tha Don and more. 2009 also sees the inclusion of a panel concentrating on the visual arts which will feature famed videographers and directors such as Chris Robinson, Lil X and Rik Cordero.

Diddy working on New Album

Mogul Sean Combs has hinted on what to expect from his new album Last Train to Paris. The producer/rapper who has worked with T Pain very closely on the project is said to be, like various others, using Auto-Tune on this project and puts T Pain down as a major inspiration for the project.

Auto-Tune has faired well this year thanks to the likes of T Pain and Kanye West who used it on his 808s and Heartbreak project released last year.

The concept behind the Last Train to Paris is concerning a woman who Combs meets and fails to get the name of and then by chance meets again. To visually show the story, Combs plans on releasing a DVD to go along with the album.

Producers on the album include T Pain, The Dream, The Neptunes and Rodney Jerkins. Last Train to Paris is the follow up to 2006’s Press Play and is expected to hit shelves in September.
