Bob Marley Movie/Documentary attracts big producer
It has been reported that Martin Scorsese will be directing the movie/documentary about the most coveted reggae artist in the world. The story of Bob Marley which is to be executive produced by the singers son Ziggy is expected to be released on the what would have been Marley's 65th birthday. Bob Marley died in 1981 from cancer, he was 36 years old.
Dr Dre wins his appeal
Super producer Andre Young, more commonly known as Dr Dre has won his right to have his case heard in a California District Court in regards to unpaid royalties from the now bankrupt Death Row Records where he released his 1992 classic album The Chronic. Dre wants files concerning the royalties owed to him to be available for viewing to determine what is exactly owed to him since the company declared bankruptcy.
Jay Z launches own company
Only weeks after his Presidency at Def Jam came to an end, Shawn Carter, known to many and most as Jay Z has aligned with industry veteran Steve Stoute to launch their Translation Advertising company. The premise behind the new company will be to help its clients reach the younger multicultural demographic that spends over $2 trillion annually, a fate which many older corporations have been unable to do in the past. Jay Z thinks his understanding of such cultures and demographics will benefit their clients which are to be announced at a later date.

Winehouse strikes it lucky
Amy Winehouse was the woman of the hour at last nights 50th Annual Grammy Award Show in Los Angeles. Even though the singer had been granted her visa to travel to the US after her recent troubles, it had left very little time for the Back to Black singer to make it to the show.

However that didn't stop Winehouse celebrating her staggering five awards with her close friends and family at a secluded event in London. Rapper Kanye West was also extremely successful at this years award show, picking up four awards.
