50 Cent Cleared

Rapper 50 Cent has been cleared of all involvement of starting the blaze that burned his Long Island home to the ground last year.

The house which 50 bought for his son and his estranged girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins caught fire last May and a battle ensued between 50 Cent and Tompkins after she implied he had started the fire after he had started proceedings to evict her.

This past week in NYC fire and insurance officials have declared that there was no way 50 Cent could have started the fire and extracted him from their investigation.

Jay Z signs Sugababes

A deal has been struck between Jay Z’s Roc-a-fella label and UK trio, The Sugababes.

It was announced that the girls who have had considerable success here in the UK will be the first pop act signed to the Def Jam/Roc-a-fella imprint after a meeting between the two parties in London last week.

The Sugarbabes have spawned 6 number ones and 16 top ten hits out of their 23 releases and are considered the most successful UK girl band.

Lily Allen says no to Kid Cudi

He is currently high on the charts with his Day and Nite Remix, but Kid Cudi might have a bit more to prove to get the attention of Uk songstress Lily Allen.

The Ohio based rapper had reached out to Allen in hopes of securing her for a collaboration for his up and coming album Man on the Moon but the request was denied.

Cudi had also reached out to Outkast front man Andre 3000 to appear on his debut; he like Allen also declined. Expected to appear on the album set for release this Summer are Snoop and label mates Kanye West and Common.

Ice-T going Digital

West coast icon Ice-T is ready to shake up the Hip-Hop genre with his digital label which will be put out through EMI.

The rapper turned actor is hoping that with his label, as of yet name unknown, the attention will be on the lyrics and content. In a recent interview the US Law and Order star said "I'm trying to get back to more Hip Hop. To me, music right now is like Disco. It's very sing-songy, and nobody's dealing with content. That's what I miss. I miss Tupac and Big. You got Lupe Fiasco and T.I. now, but in general, we're swamped with bubblegum Pop."

Ice-T, who released his first album in 1987,  is said to be working with a variety of different artists all over the US to preserve the music he loves.

Janet Jackson’s Breasts Back In The News

Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl 'wardrobe malfunction' shocker is back in the headlines - U.S. court officials insist the $550,000 (£371,600) fine initially levelled at CBS TV network bosses should be reinstated.

CBS aired the half-time performance at the 2004 American football game, during which Justin Timberlake ripped off Jackson's top to reveal an almost bare breast.

In a new ruling, officials have declared the Federal Communications Commission can fine the network bosses for the shock footage, which lasted nine-sixteenths of a second.

The original indecency case was thrown out on the grounds the breast-baring incident was too fleeting to warrant a fine.
