The eager wait is nearly over! Joe Steer aka Broadcast 2000 is finally releasing his debut mini album Building Blocks on August 25th. It’s the perfect introduction to a great songwriting talent.
After first appearing on the roof of Last FM in the battle for last year's alternative xmas #1 the brand new band has come to full form as their scintillating live performances are a testament of. Make sure you catch the wild boyz Tom (glockenspiel) and 'Slightly' (percussion) rocking out to the sweet tunes and beautiful voice of singer Joe and the fiddle playing Kelly.
In May the band jumped to everyone's ears and attention as their first single Get Up and Go was used as the soundbed of an EON ad before the UK airwaves caught up and we soon had the band played on Radio 1, Radio 2 and 6 Music. With sessions on XFM, MTV and Radio 6, the band was quickly named the Breakfast show Band Aid Artist of the Week with Shaun Keavney and Steve Lamacq's 6 music Single of the Week and also Lamacq's Radio 2 show Featured Artist of the Week. No bad feat for a band that only formed last November...
