Liam Gallagher Quits Smoking For New Band

Former Oasis rocker Liam Gallagher has reportedly quit smoking as he prepares to launch his new band.

The singer formed Beady Eye after the Wonderwall hitmakers split last August following a bust-up with his brother Noel backstage at a gig in France. The group's debut album is expected to hit stores next year - and Gallagher is quitting his favourite vice to ensure his voice is on top form.

A source tells the publication, "Liam is into his fitness these days and goes running most mornings. And now he has decided to quit smoking. He also wants his singing voice to be perfect for launching new band Beady Eye."
