British singer Patrick Wolf was arrested in California on Monday night after allegedly spitting at a security guard.
The star was performing at the Slim's live music club in San Francisco when he became involved in an altercation with a bouncer at the venue.
Wolf claims he was detained by cops after spitting at the man, and he took to his Twitter.com blog to tell fans about his experience. He writes, "Was arrested by San Fran police for spitting in a bouncer's face in protection of myself. Was almost shot in the face by a policeman. WTF (What the f**k)? Was told by the policeman 'take your sh**ty a** music out of this city.'
"Feeling very Thelma and Louise right now. This country is insane!!! Apparently my spit DEFINITELY contains HIV, swine flu and hepatitis that is why my spit is a deadly weapon according to police here!"
