Ejectorseat’s first EP is here, ‘Not My Girl’ is the first of 3 EPs to be released on the newly resurrected label Taste Media (previously home to Muse, One Minute Silence, Shed Seven). Each EP will consist of 3 tracks and the band will be selling a 1000 limited edition hand numbered CDs at their live gigs ONLY on the 3 national tours which will coincide with each EP being released. ‘Not My Girl’ will be available to buy in the shops on 7”, as well as being available to download. However the CDs are strictly for the fans to purchase at the gigs as each EP that will be released will form part of each tour as the tour dates will be printed on the back of each of the CD sleeve’s, and are expected to sell out and quickly become collectable!Ejectorseat all knew each other at school, although they weren’t really what you’d call friends. Phil was an unapproachable type who used to bully a young Luke in the dinner queue at lunch times. Pete and Gary just used to mess about in the music department at every available opportunity, which is where the musical bond formed. Their paths all crossed some years later when they formed Ejectorseat and with the inclusion of Andrew, their brand new drummer, are all now following the same path. They describe their songs as “pop music that makes you want to dance with words that make you want to despair.” Influences include The Smiths, Manic Street Preachers, The Clash, Suede and any band capable of making meaningful pop songs.Their first two singles “Attack! Attack! Attack!” and “What Do They Care” despite being DIY releases made it into the top 40 and top 10 respectively on iTunes as well as - radio play from the likes of Steve Lamacq of BBC6 Music who made the band his “New Favourite Band”. Xfms up and down the country also supported the singles, and even Jonathan Ross played them on his BBC Radio 2 show. They have shared stages already with the likes of Editors, Elbow, Graham Coxon, Guilliemots and Badly Drawn Boy to name but a few and have announced new tour dates to support the release of the ‘Not My Girl’ EP coming up to support their release. Don’t miss out on hearing what you’ve all been missing in your lives… Out on 5th May 2008 on Taste MediaEjectorseat
