Keith Urban releases his brand new single I Told You So on 16th July. I Told You So is an infectious, upbeat track that became a live favourite during Keith’s recent Love, Pain and the whole crazy world tour in Europe. The track has already been a top 10 single in the US.“I Told You So started out really traditional with just a banjo and a drum machine,” says Urban, “The song had this infectious Celtic sound. I’d only written the chorus and couldn’t think of anything else so I put it aside. Sometime toward the end of the album I played my little work tape to Dann Huff (producer) and he said, ‘We’ve got to do that one.’ So I wrote the rest of the song in the studio. The lyric is real stream of consciousness.”Keith’s world tour kicked off in April in Germany, giving the packed crowds a blistering two-hour performance for which he received rave reviews. Since then, Keith has completed a sellout run of club shows in the UK and a host of arena shows in Australia. Never one to shy away from the hard work of touring, he is now on the American leg and is looking forward to returning to the UK in October where he will play a further four dates.Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing is Keith’s follow up to his four million selling 2004 release Be Here which shows no sign of disappearing from the US charts. Keith’s has been an incredible journey so far. Starting out in his native Australia some 14 years ago, he is now one of the biggest recording stars in the US. Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing looks set to capture a new audience in the UK and establish Keith as one of the music industry’s most consistent and electrifying talents. Keith’s international successes are unrivalled. He’s received accolades and recognition from The Grammy Awards, The American Music Awards and The Billboard Music Awards. Globally he has sold in excess of 8 million albums. Keith will be returning to the UK this October. Keith Urban
