After much anticipation, and a longer than expected wait, SPIRITUALIZED are set to release their new 18-track sixth studio album, 'SONGS IN A&E', on Spaceman Records on May 26th. The album will be preceded by the single, 'SOUL ON FIRE', which will be available digitally as well as on CD and 7" vinyl formats on May 19th.The track list for the 7" red vinyl is: A side - Soul On Fire / B side - True Love Will Find You In The End. While the CD bonus tracks are: True Love Will Find You In The End / Harmony 2 (and then a miracle). The single will also be available as a download, as will the 'Live from The Union Chapel' version of 'SOUL ON FIRE'.Spiritualized are delighted to announce a very special performance and signing at Rough Trade East, London E1 on Monday 26th May, 7pm. Free admission is limited to the first 250 fans that collect a wristband from Rough Trade East, midday Thursday 24th April onward. Fans simply ask for a wristband at the main counter – strictly one wristband per person, allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Fans will also be able to pre-order the album, 'Songs IN A&E', from Rough Trade East, including a limited edition green vinyl LP, only available from Rough Trade East and the Spiritualized website.Since the release of the last studio album, 'AMAZING GRACE', there followed a lengthy period of touring but this was unfortunately curtailed by a serious illness, which struck main man Jason Pierce in 2005. Time spent in intensive care interrupted the writing and recording of the follow up record prior to, and after, his illness. Inevitably, this setback turned into an inspiration.....Following the completion of the A&E recording sessions in 2007 Spiritualized presented their Acoustic Mainlines live show, where they previewed 'acoustic' versions of new and old material. The much acclaimed shows were performed at many and various festivals and revered venues, including the legendary Apollo Theatre in Harlem, New York.Having played the last of his renowned Acoustic Mainline shows at the iTunes Air Studios session, Spiritualized will take its electric show on the road across the UK and internationally, with major festival appearances and a session for 'Later… with Jools Holland' scheduled.
