Devastated Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah has spent Christmas (07) at her boyfriend's hospital bedside after he was savagely attacked by a machete-wielding madman.Berrebah was on a night out with pals and beau Freddie Fuller in Hampshire, England on Christmas Eve (24Dec07) when the terrifying assault took place, leaving the 25-year-old with an arm and a leg hanging off.He was set upon as the festive party moved from one pub to another in Aldershot, following a reported dispute between Fuller and a business rival.

Medics rushed him to a nearby hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to save his limbs.Berrabah says, "It was horrific - like a nightmare but worse because it was real. How one person can do that to another I don't know."I couldn't stop myself screaming".The Change star has kept a bedside vigil at Frimley Park Hospital in Surrey since the assault.
