Backstreet Boys are currently touring in America

Howie Dorough has become the final member of Backstreet Boys to launch a solo career - he's set to release his debut album in November.

The singer, who is currently on a joint Backstreet Boys/New Kids On The Block tour, is putting the finishing touches to Back To Me and he hopes the tracks will show fans the "full range" of his vocal abilities.

He says: "The whole objective was to show people my individual personality. When we come together in Backstreet Boys, our individual sounds create an unbelievable group sound. At the same time, we've all had aspirations of doing solo projects for many years. This is finally my chance to get out there, step up to the plate, and show everyone what I got.

"This is a chance for me to show the full range of my voice and who I am creatively. I'm 25 per cent of the Backstreet Boys, but Back To Me is 100 per cent me. I've been blessed to be in the group I am in, and my experiences have made me who I am. I was able to make this record because of all that, and it's a dream come true."

And Dorough - who, at 37 is the oldest member of Backstreet - has received the full support of his bandmates - Nick Carter even co-wrote a song, called Pure, for the album.
