Billy Joel has slashed the price of an ocean front estate he shared with estranged wife Katie Lee in a desperate bid to sell the property.
The couple announced its split back in June, 2009 after five years of marriage and Joel promptly put the two side-by-side homes in Sagaponack, New York on the market - for a whopping $37 million (£24.6 million).
The price was almost $10 million (£6.6 million) more than what he paid for them in 2007. Last February (10), the smaller home sold close to its $12.5 million (£7.8 million) price tag.
But the lagging housing market has forced the Piano Man to reduce the initial $22.5 million (£14 million) asking price of the second property to $18.5 million (£12.3 million), reports the New York Post.
The 5,550-square-foot, four-bedroom mansion was renovated in 2009.
