R&B star Chris Brown gave his mother a special birthday treat on Sunday when he song to her onstage during his show in North Carolina.

The singer invited his mum Joyce Hawkins to join him onstage during his tour stop in Charlotte to mark her big day and began to lead fans in a rendition of Happy Birthday as the proud mother smiled with joy.

She later took to her Twitter.com page to express her thanks, writing, "CHARLOTTE YOU GUYS WERE AMAZING TONITE. THANKS FOR SINGING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME TONITE ALONG WITH CHRIS. YOUR ENERGY WAS AMAZING."
