Faith Hill reconnects with long lost brother

Faith Hill has been reconnected with her long-lost brother after the adopted star embarked on a search for her birth mother.

The Breathe singer, who was adopted as an infant, tracked down her birth family in 1993 in a bid to make peace with her past. Despite it being an emotional experience, Hill is glad she made the effort because she gained a family member she never knew she had.

During the US special, In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts, she explained: "There was a period of time when I first moved to Nashville (Tennessee), like the first couple of years, that I was just simply lost. That's when I went on a search for my birth family. And it was all by divine intervention that it happened...

"It was meant for me to find her. One day, if I ever feel comfortable talking about the whole story, I will. But, in the process I found a full brother... So we needed one another."
