Royal wedding performer Ellie Goulding had a scare at the Lollapalooza festival on Saturday when a fan rushed the stage during her set.
The shaken star agreed to give to hug the girl before she was dragged away by security.
A festivalgoer says, "It was all over in seconds and the security men acted very quickly, but not before the fan got to Ellie. She was very professional about it and just hugged the girl as her minders rushed on the stage."
Goulding set was among the highlights of Saturday's Lollapalooza at Chicago's Grant Park, while Cee Lo Green hit a bum note.
The colourful singer, who took to the stage dressed like a Mad Max film extra, apologised to the crowd for sound problems, which forced him to stop and restart Gnarls Barkley tune Crazy. He left the stage 15 minutes early.
