Howie Dorough supporting Britney Spears on tour

Howie Dorough of the Backstreet Boys is launching his solo career by supporting Britney Spears on the South American leg of her Femme Fatale tour.

The singer, who recently toured with his band and New Kids on the Block, is the last Backstreet Boy to launch an indepedent career, with his album set to be released next month.

He will show off his new material, opening for Spears in Argentina, Chile, Peru and others from 20 November.

He tweeted: "I'm so excited that I'm going joining (sic) britneyspears on several dates of the 'Femme Fatale' tour!"
