Janet Jackson is considering stepping behind the camera to write scripts for the movie industry.

The singer has been showing off her acting skills in recent years, and was last seen on screen in Tyler Perry's recent movie sequel Why Did I Get Married Too?

Jackson admits working on her upcoming book True You, which chronicles her struggle with her weight, has convinced her she can combine her new passion for writing with her films.

She tells the Associated Press, "I'm really drawn to the action stuff and I love sci-fi. That really drives me crazy."
