Yoko Ono has teamed up with Patti Smith and Sonic Youth in order to raise cash for the survivors of the March double disasters in her native Japan.
The singer/artist performed with Sonic Youth and her son Sean Lennon at the first of two To Japan with Love benefits, held at the Miller Theatre in New York on Sunday, and she'll perform with Patti Smith and Cibo Matto at Le Poisson Rouge on Tuesday.
All proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales will benefit the relief efforts in Japan.
The country is still recovering from a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and resulting tsunami that rocked the country on March 11.
