Jennifer Miro passed away

Jennifer Miro has died at the age of 54.

The pianist/singer was Alejandro Escovedo's sidekick in influential punk group the Nuns.
 
She lost her battle with cancer last month in New York.
 
Born Jennifer Anderson, she formed San Francisco band the Nuns with Escovedo and Jeff Olener in 1975.
 
The group supported the Sex Pistols at the British band's final concert in January, 1978.
 
Miro was also part of the band the VIP's in the early 1980s.
