Katy Perry’s musical dreams have finally come true after enticing DJ Calvin Harris to co-write a track for her next album.

The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker told reporters she was desperate to work with the Scottish musician after hearing his hit track The Girls in 2007, and the pair finally bumped into each other at the Capital Summertime Ball in London earlier this month and began putting plans in motion for their duet.

Harris tells the London Paper, "Katy and I finally met last week at the Capital Summertime Ball. We’re gonna record our track in L.A. in December. It’ll be for her next album so we’ll be writing it together.

"It would be a shame to go all the way to L.A. and not meet up with her. It’s a long way - we might go out and get on the... milkshakes."

Meanwhile fans of Katy Perry and her beau Travis McCoy’s band Gym Class Heroes can now dine out on their favourite stars - bosses at U.S. restaurant chain Denny's have added their signature dishes to the menu.

Katy Perry's Hot N Cold Cherry Chocolate Cappuccino has already proved a hit on the family diner's Allnighter Rockstar Menu, and now Gym Class Heroes' After School Special has been added.

Music fans can also gobble up the All American S.O.S. - a tribute to rockers All-American Rejects, Good Charlotte’s Band of Burritos, Sum 41’s Sumwich and Rascal Flatts’ Unstoppable Breakfast.

The latest addition for Gym Class Heroes fans is toast topped with hash browns, a fried egg, shredded cheese, bacon and fire-roasted peppers and onions with bonus hash browns and a side of Ranchero country gravy.
