Lachey Insits Post-Wedding Break Is Not Honeymoon

He says the "mini-moon" isn't the real deal.

Nick Lachey is planning to treat his new wife Vanessa Minnillo to another romantic getaway later this year, insisting their current holiday in St. Barts is just a "mini-moon".

The couple exchanged vows last week on Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island and the Lacheys were snapped enjoying the traditional post-wedding vacation onboard a luxury yacht in St. Barts on Thursday.

But Lachey reveals their fun in the sun will soon be cut short so he can return to work as the presenter of TV competition The Sing-Off next week.

He tells People.com, "We just wanted something relaxing. We weren't necessarily able to take our dream honeymoon because of timing, but we'll take this mini-moon and do that one later."

The former 98 Degrees singer Lachey hopes to whisk Minnillo off to the Maldives in the coming months.
