LeAnn Rimes optimistic after TV bosses axe hubby's show

LeAnn Rimes remains philosophical despite her husband Eddie Cibrian's new TV drama, The Playboy Club being cancelled and insists that everything happens for a reason.

The actor's star turn in the new NBC series, set in publishing Hugh Hefner's famous 60s hotspot, was axed on Tuesday due to poor ratings.

Rimers has spent the summer travelling back and forth from the couple's home in LA to Chicago where the show was being filmed, to spend time with her husband, but now she is reflecting on the cancellation with optimism.

She tweets: "Everything works out the way it's supposed to. One door closes and many more will open. God knows, home is where we need to be more often."

The Playboy Club, which premiered on 19 Sept will run until 31 Oct.
