Ronson spoke to The Village Voice about his work on Rufus Wainwright's new album, but they also asked him about his plans to work with Amy Winehouse before her death.
He reveleaed that they had talked about working on her third studio album, 'But, what little time we had, well, it was tense. She was in a bad state, God knows why.'
Ronson added, 'I think that the Adele thing had Amy freaked out. She liked her, but Adele's success was making Amy feel upset, competitive, restless. Anyway, we lost touch briefly.
"And before she and I could really start the process of beginning a new album, it was too late.' Amy Winehouse died in July last year.
By the time of her death, Adele's '21' had already sold 20 million copies.
