Gig Sir Paul Mccartney, U2 and Shakira are among acts who are in the frame to perform at a special concert on a bridge linking the U.S. to Mexico.
Business leaders in the Mexican city of Ciudad Juarez are planning a spectacular party to boost the region's international profile, and they are trying to attract some of the biggest names in music to sign up.
Organisers want to stage the all-star gig in October (11) and are considering erecting a stage on one of the huge bridges connecting Mexico with the Texan city of El Paso, which sits just inside the U.S. border.
A spokesman for McCartney tells the El Paso Times, "It's totally possible, but I don't have a confirmation either way."
