Chris Wolstenholme has been given chief song writing responsibilities for Muse while front man Matt Bellamy takes time out to prepare for becoming a dad.
Bellamy’s fiance, Kate Hudson, is due to give birth later this year and the singer has been looking forward to fatherhood.
Chris has stepped forward to take on song writing but is worried he will not be able to match Bellamy’s efforts.
He tells Britain's The Sun, "Matt's raised the bar quite high in terms of songwriting. I'm a bit nervous because I don't want to write a song and it be responsible for the demise of the band."
