It was a night of RnB Icon’s in London’s 24 club on Friday night as Pharrell Williams hosted a party by hip hop super brand Bathing Ape and ultra premium Patron tequila.
Swathes of fans lined the streets outside the Soho club to get a glimpse of Pharrell as he continued his string of appearances in the UK this summer. The party was held to commemorate the relaunch of the Bathing Ape store in W1, London.
Pharrell, fresh from a triumphant set a Glastonbury last month, confirmed fellow super-producer Mark Ronson as his new BBF (Best British Friend.) He danced whilst he watched Ronson spin tunes for an ecstatic crowd who were treated to specially designed Patron Bape cocktails.
Pharrell sipped Patron tequila at his VVIP exclusive table at a cost of $1000 (£750) a bottle and chatted to a succession of pretty female fans. He is the latest in a line of recent celebrity converts to the drink after Kanye, Ne-Yo and the Gallagher brothers expressed their fondness for the high-end tipple.
After a near scrum to get new Pharrell, an army of fans swarmed him inside the club, waving cameras and mobile phones and begging for photos with the US superstar. Pharrell, who is rumoured to be dating Rihanna snuck off after several hours chatting to pretty female admirers. Rihanna was also in London on Friday night. Coincidence? It remains to be seen....
