Pixie Lott

Pixie Lott

Proving we’re well and truly on the pulse of the music business, our song of the week has marched straight into the UK charts at number one, with Pixie Lott and her debut, Mama Do storming into the topspot.

And he’s an interesting fact for you, the 18-year-old from Essex is now the first British solo female to debut in the top spot without appearing on a reality TV show.

Elsewhere though, Black Eyed Peas slip to two with 'Boom Boom Pow', while Agnes heads back up the chart to number three with 'Release Me'.

Meanwhile, David Guetta debuts at seven with 'When Love Takes Over', which see’s a collaboration with former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland.

The biggest credit has to go to our favourite, Lady Gaga though, who blitzed the competition my moving from 43 to 13 with her latest release, 'Paparazzi', whilst one of my top 5 songs at the moment, Jordin Sparks’ Battlefield enters at 21.
