Sir Tom Jones to get a coat of arms
Sir Tom Jones is set to join Britain's most elite families after applying for his own coat of arms.
The Sex Bomb singer will be among aristocratic dynasties by having his own armonial bearings after being granted the honor in recent months.
The unique design will feature a red dragon in recognition of Jones' Welsh roots, as well as two trees to signify his real surname, Woodward.
David White, the Somerset Herald at the College of Arms, tells the Daily Telegraph, "He has been granted arms in the last year."
Jones is not the first music icon to be franted a coat of arms. Sir Paul McCartney also has one featuring a guitar and a Liver Bird, a symbol of his hometown of Liverpool.
