Rapper Gucci Mane has legally been charged from an assault in January on a woman in Atlanta Georgia.
The troubled star, real name Radric Davis, was taken into custody in April after his probation officer discovered there was a warrant out for his arrest for reportedly pushing a woman out of a moving vehicle.
Prosecutors filed counts of misdemeanour battery, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct against Mane on Tuesday and accused him of showing a "willful disregard for a woman's personal safety", reports AllHipHop.com.
The 31 year old is still behind bars but his lawyer, Ashutosh Joshi, insists Mane is innocent and he will be pleading not guilty to the charges.
Joshi says, "We obviously believe the charges are false. We don't agree with them and we look forward to having the opportunity to fight the charges in court."
This is not the first time Mane has been int rouble with the law.
He was arrested in 2001 for possession of cocaine, and was later arressted in 2005 for murder which was eventually dropped. Soon after being released from jail, the rapper had an ice cream cone tattooed on the side of his face, what many people believe is the sign for a crack dealer.
