Turner Wants Anonymity After Split

The singer wants to stay out of the spotlight after his split from Alexa Chung.

Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has vowed to keep out of the gossip columns following his high-profile split from MTV presenter Alexa Chung.

The British rocker and former model Chung ended their four-year relationship in July, insisting the split was "completely amicable".

The rock 'n' roll couple had become regulars in the British tabloid press during their romance - but Turner is now determined to keep a low public profile following the break-up.

He tells NME magazine, "I just think I'll take a step back from all that stuff. It's nothing, it's out of my control, and it's not me. I never went in search of that and I still don't."
