The group has been busy working on Bread and Circuses, due for release later this year, and Falconer reveals they shunned booze after a producer expressed concerns about their drunken performances.

He tells NME, "He wanted us straight-laced. On the first two days of recording we ended up steaming (drunk), but he said it wasn't working like that.

"We'd maybe go for a couple of pints at teatime, but there'd be no late-night parties. We'd never recorded sober before. Sometimes you think something's amazing because you're p**sed and then you wake up the next morning and can't bear to listen to it. But this time we're right on the ball."
