Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes on stage

Nathan Sykes joined girlfriend Ariana Grande on stage at her first live UK performance last night.

The rising 20-year-old pop star performed an intimate set at Rise Superclub in London's, where she was joined on stage by her boyfriend for a powerful rendition of 'Almost is Never Enough'.

The emotionally-charged ballad allowed both stars to show off their impressive vocal range and the romance between them was clearly evident as they stared into each other's eyes through the song.

The beauty emerged on stage to deafening applause from her fanbase and kicked off the short set with her new single 'Right There'. She followed it with more high energy tracks including 'Lovin' It' and 'You'll Never Know' from her debut album, 'Yours Truly', which topped the US Billboard album chart earlier this year.

Ariana stripped things back as she sang 'Honeymoon Avenue' - which she said was her favourite track on the record - accompanied by a solo guitarist.

It's easy to see why the singer is often compared to Mariah Carey, as she confidently breezed through a challenging array of high notes that filled the small venue.

Ending the gig with her infectious R&B track 'The Way', Ariana was in her element as fans sang back the lyrics to her biggest hit to date.
