Britney Spears is back on top form, already reaching number 2 in the UK midweek album chart update with her latest studio record 'Glory'.

If it maintains its position, it will become Britney's joint-highest peaking album in the UK alongside '…Baby One More Time', 'Oops!... I Did It Again', 'Greatest Hits: My Prerogative' and 'Blackout'.

Following the album's official release on August 26, the LP has gained some incredible reviews, with the Los Angeles Times writing: "Spears might be on the verge of her biggest comeback yet" and The Wall Street Journal saying the tracks sound "like both vintage and 2016 Britney all at the same time - it's catchy, sexy and fresh."

Whether the album falls, maintains or even climbs to number one, it's expected that Spears will be claiming her seventh entry into the UK Official Album Chart's top 10.
