Danny Jones is known to millions around the globe as one quarter of British group McFly, but this week he officially embarks out on a solo career of his own, as he drops his very first solo single. Is This Still Love was both written and produced by Jones, with Seton Daunt and Ash Howes, and allows guitar strings to lead a gorgeous melody, combined with stunning lyrics about how love changes as each of us grows older. You can hear the track below:

Over the past year, Jones has been writing and recording a debut solo album with some fantastic talents from the industry. Not only working with Daunt and Howes, he’s also collaborated alongside the likes of Jake Gosling and Emily Philips, as well as Mike Needle and Dan Bryer.

“I’ve been working on new songs for quite some time now and I can’t wait for everyone to hear them,” Jones says. “The fans have been so supportive across the world and I’m excited for them all to join me on the next part of my journey. I’m really looking forward to gettingback out on the road and performing again as I’ve really missed it.”

Recently playing his first solo show at the O2 Islington in London, where tickets sold out in a matter of minutes, it’s clear that Jones has made a bold but positive decision in stepping out into the world as a solo musician.

This summer, he’ll return to the small screen on ITV, serving as a coach alongside will.i.am and Pixie Lott in the second series of The Voice Kids.
