The late David Bowie’s life is still one that’s being celebrated, almost 12 months after his death in 2016. The latest announcement to come from those working on tributes to the music icon is that a new Bowie walking tour will be launching in his hometown of London, marking what would have been his 70th birthday.

Fans will be able to take part in the two hour walking tour when it launches on Sunday, January 8 and visits notable Bowie landmarks placed around the English capital. After the launch, the ‘David Bowie Musical Walking Tour’ will continue on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Nick Stephenson who founded the tour comments: “I hope people will come along and enjoy the experience together by singing some of his wonderful songs or just by soaking up the rich culture of Brixton, whether they are massive fans or just want to learn more about the great man and his home town.”

This news comes after it was previously announced a special tribute concert is to take place this weekend at Brixton Academy, featuring Bowie’s long-time friend Gary Oldman along with 30 of Bowie’s musical collaborators, who will all come together to celebrate Bowie’s incredible legacy.
