The 'Read All About It' hitmaker's much-delayed record hasn't received a release date yet, but she says the "end is in sight" after several sessions in the studio perfecting the LP with various collaborators.

Taking to her Twitter account with a selfie next to a piano on Tuesday (05.04.16), she wrote: "Day 4000 in the studio. End in sight."

The 29-year-old Scottish singer has teamed up once again with producer Naughty Boy, who has been tweaking the record, which is the follow-up to 2012's smash hit 'Our Version of Events', as well as TMS production, who were responsible for Emeli's 'Read All About It, Pt. III' song.

The 'Runnin' (Lose It All)' tunesmith initiated nearly all of the tracks on Emeli's debut and began collaborating with her from the outset of her music career and has been the main producer on her next offering of tracks.

Taking about their plans to work in the studio for several months, he previously tweeted: "Back in the lab.. cookin that... w/ @emelisande #summersgone #meetmywinter :) (sic)"

Naughty Boy - whose real name is Shahid Khan - previously revealed the delay in releasing the album was due to Adele releasing her LP '25' in November, when Emeli was thinking of dropping hers.

He previously stated: "They (Adele and Emeli) can't go against each other. Nobody wants to. Adele's album is coming and labels have cleared their schedules because they know it's going to wipe the floor with everything. Emeli's album is coming out next year now."
