Harry Styles may have been celebrating his birthday on Monday February 1, but it was also the date that saw an announcement from his former management Modest Management, that he had left the company on good terms.

In a statement issued to Billboard, Modest Management executives said: "We wish Harry the very best. It has been a real pleasure working with him.

"Harry is a total gentleman, and we know our good friend Jeffrey Azoff will look after him. We look forward to sharing some great wine with them next time we are in LA."

Azoff is the son of music industry mogul Irving Azoff and a member of the Creative Artist Agency.

This comes after Zayn Malik launched his solo career after quitting One Direction in early 2015, and after reports Styles registed four new songs with ASCAP.

An earlier report by The Sun also claimed that Styles and his new team are now working on launching his solo career "by around this time next year", with sources claiming "he wants to completely disassociate with [One Direction]" including "any professional connection".
