John Newman is bringing a slice of Mexican summer to his fans with his latest release - the new music video for 'Olé'.

Written and produced by Calvin Harris, the track is very different to anything either of the long-time friends and creative partners have come up with.

Marking the beginning of an all new era for Newman, the artist has been busy in the studio writing and recording material following the release of his 2015 LP 'Revolve', the follow-up to platinum-selling number one debut album 'Tribute'.

To-date, Newman has amassed over 380 million views on his YouTube and Vevo platforms, whilst he's collected almost 1.9 million Facebook fans, 400,000 Twitter followers and over 220,000 Instagram followers.

The release comes after Newman shared his story about his health and the return of his brain tumour, after the star was first diagnosed in 2012 with a benign tumour after he "started going blind".

Speaking in a statement to Newsbeat, the brave singer explained of the tumour's return: "The prognosis is good and there are so many people in far more serious situations.

"I just hope this in some way helps raise awareness for those people and encourages people to be tested and treated as early as possible.

"Nothing will ever stop me from doing the job I love so much."
