The 'Toxic' hitmaker recently revealed she wants to work with with the 35-year-old musician, and now Justin has confirmed he too would love to step into the recording studio with his the 34-year-old beauty, admitting he is "accessible".

Asked if he had heard Britney has requested to work with him, the 'Can't Stop The Feeling' singer told E!: "She did? Sure! Absolutely, absolutely.

"I have a 17 month old so I don't get the headline news. I apologise for not being in the know ... I'm accessible, give us a call!"

Justin's eagerness to record a song with Britney - who he dated for three years in 1999 - comes after the blonde beauty revealed the artists she would most like to collaborate with, and cited her former beau as "very good".

She said: "Aerosmith seems really good and bright. He's a genius I think. He's very rock n' roll. He sings from his soul. Gwen Stefani, I think she's great. Justin Timberlake is very good."

At the time, an insider admitted the 'Cry Me A River' singer would "be totally down" with working with Britney.

The source said: "Justin would be totally down with doing a song with Britney sometime in the future. He would want it to be something amazing and not just do it for the nostalgia of it all. Though he is not actively pursuing a duet with her, he would welcome the discussion and would be happy if it were to happen."

The pair met when they starred together in Disney's Mickey Mouse Club and began dating aged 17 after they both became pop stars.

Three years later they broke hearts when they dramatically split.
