Despite so much controversy surrounding her scheduled performance at the Billboard Music Awards - with it being cancelled and then added to the lineup once more following conflict with her record label - Kesha DID indeed take to the stage at the show.

Singing Bob Dylan's 'It Ain't Me Babe', Kesha crooned her way through her first televised live performance since her legal troubles with music producer Dr. Luke and Sony began.

Ben Folds joined her on stage, as Kesha allowed casual fans and viewers to see a whole new side to her artistry and public eye persona.

Last week, Kesha spoke about the performance at the point of it being cancelled, and explained: "I just wanted to make very clear that this performance has never had anything at all to do with Dr. Luke. I was never going to use a picture of him, speak of him or allude to my legal situation in any way.

"I simply wanted to sing a song I love to honour an artist I have always looked up to."

Currently, Kesha is obligated to record six further albums under Kemosabe Records before she's allowed to leave. She's now in the midst of a legal battle with Sony and Dr. Luke after accusing the music producer of sexual assault - something he has denied on more than one occasion.
