The 'Black Magic' hitmakers only released their third studio LP 'Get Weird' seven months ago but they aren't prepared to sit back and revel in the record's success and have already started penning new material in the studio.

Speaking to BANG Showbiz at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2016 at Wembley Stadium in London, Jesy Nelson revealed: "Yes we are working on the next album! Some very exciting stuff to come, it's quite a new sound for us. It's a secret. But we're very happy."

The British foursome - consisting of Jesy, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards - are even hoping to get Meghan Trainor on the LP after the 'All About That Bass' hitmaker had to pull out of collaborating on their single 'Hair'.

Asked if they will work with the 34-year-old American singer this time around, Jesy said: "Well we love her, we're a massive fan of her work so we would love to work with her but it just depends."

Although they've been busy working on new songs, the group are keeping details of when the music is likely to drop a secret because they want to make sure their new music is perfect before unveiling it.

The 24-year-old beauty added: "It depends if it's ready when it'll be out. If it's not ready then it won't come out."

Little Mix wowed fans at the Capital FM Summertime Ball after Perrie's ex-fiancé Zayn Malik pulled out of his debut solo performance in the UK after suffering an "anxiety" attack.

The band opened with their hit track 'Black Magic' before performing a stripped back introduction to 'Move', however, the highlight of their set was their high energy performance of new single 'Hair'.
